To add to her A level Psychology last week, and her A* in Statistics GCSE last year, E today picked up her main GCSE results - 4 A grades and 6 A* grades.
A happy family!

I'm a rambling mass of inconsistencies, some hidden and some all too apparent. A "messy human", wishing to be visible and yet invisible, cherishing my differences but longing to fit in.

Hooray for E...The Dufflepud, despite having admitted to doing NO work this year, did equally happily...so all set for a happy 6th form
E done brilliant
Good for her and am happy for you as a family x
What does A* mean? And how does the grading system go over there anyway?
Excellent results, well done E !
Thanks for all the congrats. Will pass them on.
Congrats to the Dufflepud, kathryn. Glad all is set fair for your family for next year too!
catherine, GCSEs (takena t 16) go from A* to G, with A* being the top grade. Percentages of pupils achieving A* vary according to the subject taken but it is the best you can do in any case; an A grade is not to be sneezed at! The government target is for pupils to achieve 5 GCSEs at grades A* to C - about 70% of the pupils at my daughter's school did that. She probably got the best results in her school when her A level result is taken into account - there were other pupils who got one more GCSE than she did but they didn't do an A level (usually taken at age 18 - to take one at 16 is very exceptional and E was the only pupil in her yeargroup of about 270 pupils to do so.) So the girl done good!
