caught me unawares, I think. I genuinely didn't think that I would find it hard - but within minutes of entering, the number of people around got to me. Thank goodness for D, our pastor, who saw me arriving, gave me a hug, and, with L, sat next to me. Thank goodness for him following me when I had to get out (one word just triggered me, completely unexpectedly) and for his willingness to talk and listen, yet again.
There were good things too, and minor achievements. I did go, and stayed for the service (even if I was not in the service for all of it!) I went back after my minor break down. Actually, the minor break down was probably not totally a bad thing - I had been holding in a lot of stuff and release is good. I was able to join in the singing and mean some of it. Lots of people made me feel welcome. I was even able (briefly) to pray. And I will be back, and it will get easier.

Bravo...I prayed for you as I presided this morning - and am so glad that D and L were able to recognise and respond to your need.
You are doing so well - such courage, and so many milestones passed.
