Am trying really hard to get to the point where I can accept that certain things happened and move on.
Meanwhile my "inner child" is scared and crying.
I am remembering stuff and not being able to remember other stuff.

There's too much "noise" - internally and externally.

Aww D

As someone who has a neglected and frustrated child within them, I empathise.

Tomorrow, I am dedicating to my child. This may sound a bit weird but we (as in the different characters in my psyche) are going to play together.

Hope your inner child finds a way through..and that you (in the here and now) can find some calm.

Hi Mandy

Thank you.
Hope you and your inner child can have fun playing - it sounds like a great idea to me. Just have no idea how (or when) to start doing that myself.

I understand that trying to find time to let your child be is more difficult. You have commitments and work.

Not sure I can offer any ideas...not even sure exactly what I am going to do but alot of improvisation and going with gut feelings is most probably what I will do.

I think you once wrote that you like children's story books or that you sometimes read them. If that wasn't you, I apologise but that is one way of connecting to the child and maybe letting them be. And you can read, in a quiet space, maybe at night without it intefering with other commitments.

Just a thought.

Hi again Mandy

Yes, that is the one thing I am doing at the moment. I read some of "Little House in the Big Woods" yesterday evening, just before i went to bed, and it seemed to soothe her (at least, with the additional help of sleeping tablets!) because I did get a decent night's sleep.

Hi D

I am glad you got a good night's sleep and she was soothed.

My friend contacted me and the is called 'The Playful Self' and is by Rebecca Adams (or Adrams). Going on Amazon later to try and find it.

If you don't want to buy it, I will read it and if it is any good pass it on.

Hope your Thursday is a better day for you.
