Today was a GOOD DAY.

(Just as well as it's my birthday!)

Woken up with pressies and cards from hubby and kids. Two lovely necklaces, makeup, a new bag, earphones for the gym.

A card from my aunt made me really smile. Picture - a sow and a piglet. Under the piglet: "Mum, what's spam?" Sow: "Something you get on the Internet, dear."

School - lots of cards from colleagues. I was quite surprised. Pressies from two of my closer friends there too. I'll post some of the quotes from the little books of sayings in due course.

Another (part time) colleague invited me round to her house during my free periods (which fell either side of lunch). We had a nice meal (including chocolate cake!) and then took her Boxer puppy for a walk. This enabled me to (a) get out in the sunshine (b) have a good chat (c) laugh at the antics of Stanley the Boxer and (d) discover some new places I can escape to at lunch times.

Went back to (as I thought) teach part of lesson 5, only to find that the presentation they were having over-ran, so I ended up sitting in the hall with various other staff supervising them and not having to teach.

Daughter no 2 didn't have an after school club after all, so managed to get home in reasonable time.

We have had decadent takeaway pizza for tea and I have a Turkish Delight bar of chocolate to look forward to.

The sun has shone!!!

AND I have reduced one (of two) antidepressants from the "emergency" dose to the "high" dose, after consultation with my GP. OK, so he did say we could wait until the summer holidays, but he also said he was sure it would have no effect on my mood, so I have done it anyway. And, for those who might be concerned, that means I am still on high doses of two different anti-depressants.

Oh, AND the new anti-histamine said wonderful GP prescribed for me WORKS and i have not sneezed and snuffled my way through the day!
