At last!

The sun has been shining today, and I felt an immediate boost to my mood (despite a bad night again last night). This morning I took the girls to a nearby retail park because E needed shoes, and the town centre didn't seem to have any size 5 shoes suitable for school that fit her (admittedly wide) feet. However, we were successful at the retail park and then had a delightful budget shopping spree at Matalan. We all ended up with new clothes, and I bought myself some brightly coloured tops to give me a confidence boost next week as I return to work. This afternoon I did some sewing, much of it outside in the garden. It was slightly spoilt by the mother shouting at her young son for an hour; he may be a little toe rag, but to hear her offering him not a word of praise and plenty of blame was sad.

However, it's been a good day.
