BLPT and surpluses and cuts

Post on Mandy's blog, here, about the cuts in services BLPT are planning to make. There have been many mentions in the BLPT minutes about where and how cuts are to be made (they are referred to as CRES savings). I posted about this recently here, and in other places wrote about my concerns about cuts in services.

CRES savings seem to have been largely targeted at "operational" areas (ie, those which impact service users directly). Maybe instead BLPT could save money through some of the management posts they have, such as the one recently advertised which offers a salary of £60,669 - £75,114.

Hi C

Thanks for mentioning blog.

Sorry times again with no let up.

As for surplusses in the Trust. Makes me feel nauseas that they want to make a surplus whilst cutting services and employing more highly paid managers. Is quite disgraceful.

Hope you can get some practical help.
