"Ruby Tuesday"

Have a theme of song titles going in another place. This was today's offering. Found the lyrics here; you can decide if you think they are relevant to my day (or indeed to me in general!)

It was a surprisingly good day today. Given things that happened, I'm glad to be feeling as comfortable and upbeat as I do. Lessons went well; a couple of challenging students (aren't there always?) and the frustration of a class ignoring totally the revision lesson I had just given them (how to calculate the area of triangles) when faced with independent work. However, these were nothing out of the ordinary (though I did sound off to colleagues over the Maths frustration!) I can recognise, however, that my frustration is as much due to my lack of confidence in teaching Maths as due to the lack of application of the class. Such is life.
I was due to have some time for monitoring work (in my role as subject leader) but lost it for the fourth time due to the absence of other staff. Again, such is life.
I led an INSED session at the end of the day, which seemed to go well and which I felt was useful. Hope the other staff did too. They were complimentary about the plans and resources I have provided them with.
Late home, due to the meetings, but did some sewing. I had taken my postcards in to school (a friend had asked to see them) where they were greeted with much admiration. Another friend has, at my request, given me lots of ideas for further postcards, which I have been drawing up, cutting out and ironing, ready for sewing tomorrow. Unfortunately sitting at the table doing this sets my back to aching, so I haven't got as much done as I would have liked. However, I have more to look forward to tomorrow in terms of finishing the cards I started today. I fully intended to post a picture of another card but Blogger isn't cooperating with that tonight, so it will have to wait for a further post.
edit: Blogger now more cooperative and postcard added.

Hi again C

I have a picture, identical to the one you put up here, has a special place on my wall.

Spooky coincidence? I don't think so.

Winks :>)

Hi Katie - looks like several of us suffered similar difficulties.
