A bit of a saga of a day as well - though not as much as yesterday.
The electrical problems at school have not really been resolved - it's more a case that strategies for dealing with them temporarily have been arrived at. Tomorrow we will see whether not using certain equipment, closing down one block, etc, enables the electricity supply to keep running until repairs can be arranged.
It did mean that I had a whole day to catch up on marking, report writing and admin - and I have, largely, done so. That's to say, nearly all of the essential marking is done, all my reports and assessments have been marked bar one set of assessments, and I have to say I do feel a reduction in pressure. That it took the whole day, and a good portion of this evening, is revealing of the amount of backlog that had built up.
I do have one heck of a back ache as a result of sitting in a chair marking all day....

Maybe the temporary plans for dealign with lekky problem worked in your favour. You seem to have got alot done.
I also like the mindfulness thing where it tells you to go back to step 3 however many zillions of times. I know that one...like it is my shadow.
Note to self...must remember to remember what it is I have to remember to be doing.
Sounds like you could do with a roll around on my inflatable peanut ball. It helps with my spine probbies.

Mandy, I'm on my way to use your "peanut ball"! Am stiffening up and would willingly try anything. Actually, a bath could be a good idea. Remembering to remember to remember - err - nope, that's why I make lists! Glad you liked the mindfulness quotes.

ao, which of the other teachers who were alos struggling to keep up with the workload was the one who had the fine idea of sabotaging the electricity system? I'd put money on the missing fuses and a pair of wire cutters being found in the biology teachers' desk....

Thanks MMP. I'm just wondering whether the schemes set in place to keep the electricitiy on will actually work today! You'll understand if I say that there's a naughty part of me hoping the system will still overload...
