Thank you all for your hugs and encouragement. It all got totally overwhelming over the weekend. Special thanks to Kathryn...
Today was the first day back, though minus children. We had one of the most deadly staff meetings ever, which lasted from 9am to 1.15. We were given the same information on Powerpoint, on paper and spoken by the head. I now have about half an hour's filing to do - tomorrow morning's job, I think. But I actually felt very positive while with other staff - found lots of my energy again and lots of people commented on how well I seemed. I guess it's that thing of having a role to play. Quite a few challenges - like the fact that the Internet is "down" at school, and the fact that the new laptops (needed on Thursday) are not yet ready for use, and the fact that the ICT technician is out of school on Thursday so cannot support the Y5 ICT lessons as is needed... Hmm. I will give up my lunch break (or some of it) and my free lesson to make sure all goes as smoothly as possible for the two Y5 ICT lessons happening that day.
However, W DID phone about the money which has not been transferred into our bank account, which was one of the stresses. He has to write a letter now (note, not me!) And our mechanic has come round tonight with a courtesy car for us to use - and is trying to source a new engine for mine... though the cost is not going to be small.
I'm going to sit and watch "The Queen" - recorded last night - and do a bit of tinkering with lesson plans - and go to bed early... Wish me luck for tomorrow!
