Had a wonderful time on my course today. This is the bag I succeeded in finishing on the workshop. I'm really pleased with it. It's made (as are most of my bags) from recycled denim (ie, old jeans) and, having made this one, I now have plans to make others in similar style but different shapes.
Great company today - I smiled, laughed, joked, even made new friends who encouraged me to book up for more courses. So I have 4 (maybe 5) more booked between now and Christmas: a day to make a Lone Star lapquilt (which will be a cot quilt, hopefully in time for the birth of my new niece), one (possibly two - I'm on the waiting list for the second) bag making days, a Christmas quilting workshop and a UFO (unfinished objects!) day where I can hopefully complete some of my outstanding projects.
I'm still ruminating a lot on all that has gone on over the last 10 days or so, but for most of today I was able to put it out of my mind and concentrate on being creative.

The bag is lovely. Do let us see the quilt as well. It's ages since I did anything creative - you've inspired me.
Well done...on your creativity of course, but also on putting the other stuff aside for much of the day. That's excellent xx
Thanks both. Today's creations were a little less imaginative - but strangely satisfying, nonetheless.
