BLPT Service user involvement

There's a "Service User and Carer Involvment Committee". Unfortunately the times of their meetings are not publicised in advance. I wonder whether any real service users and carers are involved in this committee?

BLPT used to have these open house meetings. Public meetings where Paul Mullin and some of his executive team would meet with service users and carers and the agenda would be about things that people had asked to be put on.

They were quarterly meetings, I think. Rotating around the county. I attended a couple. They were publicised but I can't remember where. I found out because I was on the PPI Forum.

If they have now changed that format or even if they are still running with it, they should be publicising the meetings in the newsletter they send out to service users and put something in the local Bedfordshire papers.

Hi Mandy
Yes, these meetings do still happen and it is (sometimes) possible to find the details of when they are going to happen on the BLPT website. No record of the meetings is available, though, as far as I can see. And there is nothing on this Board level committee.
