Still here...

Croaking and hacking but hanging in. Teaching while feeling £&*! is no fun, but most of the pupils are cutting me a bit of slack and tolerating my not being on top form. I really need to get rid of this cold before the holidays start though. Lots going on - including a trip I am leading to The Globe with about 50 youngsters. Don't want to try to do that feeling like this. Nor do I want to waste my precious holiday recovering from the lurgy. So positive thoughts and prayers for a miraculous recovery would be VERY welcome, please - and any home-grown remedies also welcome!

Hi C

Hope the cold thingy is easing up for you so that you get chance to have some quality time next week.

Vitamin C is supposed to be a good one for cold busting.

I have heard about something called Echinae, although not sure at all about the spelling.

Is supposed to be good for warding off colds. Not so sure that it is useful if you already have one. And it is a natural remedy so you have to think of any interactions that might occur with prescription medication.

I like the idea of natural remedies but often I don't take them cos of possible interactions with lorazepam.

Always something, innit?

Thanks both.

Things seem to be improving, slowly, on the cold front. Hoping it continues (rapidly, for preference!) Prayers and suggestions welcomed - am trying to input the Vit C (does cider count? It is made from apples!)
